Wahlen zum Reichstag und zum Reichspräsidenten

Elections to the Reichstag and to the Reich President

According to the Constitution, the Reichstag is elected every four years. This is actually observed in the "stable" years of the Weimar Republic. But by the end of the 1920s, the election campaign and finally the election itself became a political spectacle and playing field for the extremist parties through the aggressive agitation of right and left. At the time of the presidential cabinets, the Reich government and the Reich president determined politics, and the Reichstag was marginalized. The NSDAP gains voter favor and influence.
