Former Chancellor Angela Merkel and politicians of the SPD Manuela Schwesig, State Premier of the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommernduring, and Malu Dreyer, Minister President of Rheinland-Pfalz, the Federal Assembly on Sunday, February 13th for the election of the Federal President in the Paul-Loebe House in Berlin, Germany. Due to the corona pandemic, the meeting will not take place in the plenary hall of the German Bundestag in the Reichstag. The Federal Assembly will elect the new Federal President with the votes of the members of the Bundestag and other state delegate.
