Elfriede Jelinek (photo) has been named playwright of the year at the Muehlheimer Theatertage with her play "Macht nichts". In her work the author examines the continuation of Nazi structures in the thinking and feeling of the people in the present age. The prize is endowed with 10,000 euros.
