Collection drives for raw materials and donations during the Second World War
Metals, wool, fabric, fur, skis, books and other goods are collected in Germany for the supply of the soldiers at the front and the armament industry. The Winterhilfswerk des Deutschen Volkes (WHW), Winter Relief of the German People, is an annual collection drive for money and goods to support the poor lower classes and relieve their distress for propaganda purposes. The campain is continued during the Second World War and renamed Kriegswinterhilfswerk des Deutschen Volkes, Wartime Winter Relief of the German People.
