Karl-Heinz Hoffmann, right-wing extremist and founder of the Wehrsportgruppe Hoffmann named after him, during his trial in Nuremberg. Hoffmann had been charged, inter alia, for his possible involvement in the murder of the Jewish publisher Shlomo Lewin and his wife Frieda Poeschke, which ultimately could not be proven. Because of various other offenses he was sentenced to 9 1/2 years imprisonment. Next to him was his partner Franziska Birkmann, who was accused of complicity in murder.
